·         Clerestory triangular windows, created by some of the salvaged windows, provide ample daylight for the workshop/guest room and create a nice volume for the space. Additional double pane windows provide cross ventilation.

·         Combined water-feature, Jacuzzi, and fountains, besides masking the sound of the nearby busy street, create evaporative cooling during the hot and dry summer days in the courtyard and add to the peaceful environment created by connecting interior to exterior.
