LA JOLLA | La Jolla

·         Large south-facing windows were mounted to take advantage of the winter sun. By keeping the overhangs over the windows, we prevent summer sun from coming inside the house and heating the interior materials unnecessarily.

·         Full-height, floor-to-ceiling, corner pocket and flush sliding glass doors, in addition to opening the south-facing walls, have helped connect the kitchen-family room combination to the outside patio and courtyard, eliminating the need for an outdoor kitchen. This feature elicits a rich, inspiring place to lounge and gather.
